Thank you #Yabusa (and #RehabMan) - this solved my issue. I now have SS0x ports showing upon boot and can now proceed with the port patching. I knew it was something daft.
I think there should be a pinned post with known working values for this port patch for the different versions of MacOS?
I am going in circles here and have decided to reach out to the community for a little assistance. My build is working lovely with all of the USB ports operational however they are all at USB2 speeds - even though they are USB3 ports. Plugging in flash drives etc results in nothing happening...
