High Sierra - 660ti graphics issues?

I have a GTX 660Ti in a 2009 MacPro that's had its firmware updated and CPU replaced. (4 core to 6 core) I've got the same issue. I'm currently back in El Capitan, but I didn't see these issues in Sierra. Some speculation on APFS being the culprit?

    Post macOS/OS X Geekbench Benchmarks

Ah! I see your memory is faster: I probably didn't do enough research on memory before hitting the order button. 2400 is what I bought. :P Thanks for the info.

https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/2046314 I've a similar system. Same motherboard, processor. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960. 64GB RAM Most test are faster on yours, some are not. I'm assuming this is memory related?

    Wi-Fi drops out constantly (TP-Link TL-WDN4800) [10.8.3]

I had a problem that I mentioned in another thread, perhaps related to this. My TP-Link card would work under Linux but stopped working under Sierra. In MacOS the card would show up, you could see networks, but you could not connect. My solution was to remove and reseat the PCI card. I tried to...

    Post Install WiFI Weirdness

That would be one theory, but the card worked fine under Linux... Then again, there is more than one PCIe channel communicating. Perhaps the Linux and MacOS drivers poll the PCI channels differently. The card under MacOS was "mostly" working. I could see the networks around me and their signal...

    Post Install WiFI Weirdness

I went ahead and bought the CustoMac from the Tonymacx86 list, going down the line with the Z170x Designare, i7 6700K, GTX-960, TP Link WDN4800, Etc... (I did use the Amazon links, so I hope that helped) So anyway, I've spent a couple of weeks tinkering and I finally had Sierra 10.12.3 running...

    Adding GTX 660 Ti

OK, nv_disable=1 allows me to boot without nvidia drivers, and at least the cards outputs a display. There is no acceleration. I'm wondering if there's something in my BIOS/EFI that is messing things up. I've got another video card on order, but I was trying to get going with what I already had.

    Adding GTX 660 Ti

I'm having similar issues. I just built a Gigabyte Designare, i7 6700K and trying to start with El Capitan. I first used a Asus GTX 750ti and I couldn't get any video drivers to load, just software rendering. (*issues with nvram support on the card I understand) I then switched to a my EVGA...
