Two weeks and countless hours of reading guides and blog posts later, and I am still unable to get the HDMI Audio from my XFX HD5770 to work. I can't even get the optical out on the P5E motherboard to work properly. Unless someone here has some ideas, I'm giving up on this build.

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and deleted the extras folder, started multibeast again with Easy Install, and it freezes at coreservices.appleid.authentication. I did some searching around and people are saying XFX HD 5770 is unsupported in mountain lion and that might be my problem??
