Has anyone tested the GTX 660 (non-Ti)?

Agreed, NVDAGK100HAL or something similarily named kext loads when the 660 is in. Checking that file it does have the device ID for 660 in it. But it doesn't appear that any other NV related kexts load, or at least none that I noticed in my cursory observation. Sadly I don't have the time or the...

Has anyone tested the GTX 660 (non-Ti)?

Gave it a shot, no changes. I tried a known good 10.8.2 install with a normal boot and with -x. Both halted without KP at the time the login or graphical interface would fire up. I am returning the card at this point.

Has anyone tested the GTX 660 (non-Ti)?

You're welcome. I am no expert, but I am learning. :) As for leaving the 660 in and using HD3000, I thought about trying the same thing but never did. So I have no experience doing so and nothing to relay as far as information goes for that. Try it and see what happens I guess. In regards...

Has anyone tested the GTX 660 (non-Ti)?

Well that sucks. Will edit my post, if I can, so there is no confusion. As it is, I am returning the 660 for now and will leave getting that working either to Apple or folks such as yourself who are more informed on this. Appreciate everything everyone in the community has done to allow all of...

Has anyone tested the GTX 660 (non-Ti)?

I have not personally found a working setup for the GTX 660 yet. Not sure what your CPU is, but I have another system using HD4000 graphics nicely. So as long as your cpu has that, assuming you have an Ivy Bridge processor with a GPU, then you should be good to go for now. I am leaning towards...

Has anyone tested the GTX 660 (non-Ti)?

Yep, looks like I misread the site that I got the info from. 306.23 is the first driver that supports GTX 660.

Has anyone tested the GTX 660 (non-Ti)?

Every mode I tried resulted in a freeze when the startup sequence hit a certain spot. Safe mode, No Kernel Cache, with Kernel Cache, etc... I remember single user mode working one time, but then not after that. But take this with a grain of salt. My install is busted and until I wipe and...

Has anyone tested the GTX 660 (non-Ti)?

I'm not willing to give up just yet. Been poking around the different kexts and I do see the device ID for the GTX 660 in NVDAGK100Hal.kext, so at least on some level the drivers are aware of it. I also see the GeForce driver trying to load now, but there appears to be some missing libraries. I...

Has anyone tested the GTX 660 (non-Ti)?

I bought one yesterday, threw it in and no go. I should have done my homework better, based on what I see in this thread that the core is different. Nice card, works well in windows for games, decent price but without OS X support, I'm afraid it's going to have to go back and I will throw the...

Anyone got ASUS Radeon HD 6870 working?

Gigabyte 6870 - 5 port [WORKING] I was able to get my Gigabyte (AMD) 6870 1GB card working just fine after restoring the stock 10.8 ATI600Controller.kext to /System/Library/Extensions, rebuilding the kext cache using Kext Utility and finally putting these lines into my org.chameleon.Boot.plist...
