Hey I was trying to update to OS Yosemite. I updated through the app store and ran the software and when it restarted, it was still the same OS. The computer didn't update. Did I do something wrong?

All I did was update the motherboard software. I forgot what the update was, I believe it was 7F or 8F. After this, everything ran smoothly.

I'm using 7. Should I update or just get a new motherboard? can you suggest a good motherboard with easy installation? thank you so much?

None of the suggested codes worked. Do you think it has something to do with the UEFI settings? Can you give me a list of the settings for a Gigabyte motherboard? I appreciate your help.:D
