@Squid89 - if you look back in this thread to my earlier posts you can see that I did get WiFi working with a 3rd party module, but no BT. @markoskz is still planning to try another WiFi/BT module to see if it works, but we are still waiting for him to have time and parts to complete that test.
@markoskz - has your new WiFi/BT module arrived yet? Were you able to get it working?
I've been using my new Hackintosh for several weeks now, and it has started doing something odd: The sound stops working from time to time. I *think* it is related to putting the computer to sleep, but not...
If you open a terminal and type "mount" at the prompt, what do you see? Here is what I get:
As you can see, I have only 2 physical volumes connected: /dev/disk2 and /dev/disk0. There are 2 partitions mounted from disk2 ( / and /private/var/vm), and 1 from disk0 (this is my windows drive)...
I see a similar message, but not nearly as frequently as you do (note the timestamps - 6-8 new messages appear in my console every minute or 2):
diskarbitrationd is the daemon responsible for mounting drives when they are attached to the system (external drives, usually). How many disks to...
No, not yet, as I don't need to enable any other ports that your map does not already, so I didn't see any reason to bother with switching it. I'll see if I can make time to try that later this week.
Ah, yes, sorry: I do not have any NVMe drives installed at all. I have 1 Western Digital SATA SSD (1TB) which has clover as well as MacOS installed on it, and it is set up as the boot drive in the bios. I also have an old 7200 rpm spinning 1TB hard drive which has Windows 10 installed on it...
Hi @markoskz - just wanted to follow up with you about our previous conversation regarding my WiFi/BT module: The M.5 adapter card arrived, and the WiFi / Bluetooth card I ordered fits it perfectly. I installed it into the upper slot on my board because the lower slot interferes with the case...
Yup, I planned ahead for that, and already have these antenna extenders that I'll be using. I can't wait for the adapter to arrive in a few days to give it a try!
My understanding is that I won't need to add any kexts or other drivers / modifications - that the OS should just recognize the...
I just ordered the adapter - it'll be here Thursday. I'll update with results as soon as I've tried it.
Do you know if it matters if I use the upper or lower M.5 slot? I'm not currently using either one for a drive, they are both open. I'd prefer to use the lower slot for this adapter, as I'd...
As a follow-up to my previous post on this thread regarding getting WiFi/BT working:
The BCM94352Z WiFi / BT card that I ordered physically fits in the same slot that the built-in Intel WiFi/BT chip occupies on this motherboard, but it is completely non-functional there. It does NOT fit...
Hi markoskz - I'm trying to set up my first Hackintosh, and my hardware is VERY close to yours:
Motherboard:GIGABYTE Z390 I AORUS PRO WiFi
