RehabMan, thanks for the link. I downloaded the files and made required changes to the plist. Do I need to compile it into a kext? There is a makefile but was unable to execute it. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

RehabMan thank you very for providing the feedback and suggestions. I am using a patched AppleHDA.kext. In another post I wrote that both headphones and speaker works after a fresh reboot , however, no noise after resuming from the sleep. Please see the attached screen shot.
