    Intel HD 4600 graphics ghost

I have a bit of ghosting on my monitor driven by Intel HD 4600. The top 25 or so pixels from the screen are mirrored at the bottom, and that area of the screen is otherwise unusable. I tried downloading the latest Lilu and IntelGraphicsFixup kexts and I installed them into CLOVER/kexts/Other...

[SOLVED] After 10.13.1->10.13.4 update, BIOS just hangs

So, what worked is to unplug all SATA devices and do the CMOS reset procedure above. Then I was able to get into the BIOS, update my settings, plug all disks back in, and it booted just fine. It didn't get upgraded to 10.13.4 but I'm trying that now.

[SOLVED] After 10.13.1->10.13.4 update, BIOS just hangs

Thanks for the suggestion! I just tried that and it didn't help. I used the procedure described in the Gryphon Z97 manual. Turned off computer, removed power cable. Moved CLRTC jumpers from pins 1-2 to pins 2-3. Waited 10+ seconds. Moved jumpers back, plugged everything back in, powered...

[SOLVED] After 10.13.1->10.13.4 update, BIOS just hangs

I upgraded from 10.12.6 to 10.13.1 just fine, but after applying the 10.13.4 upgrade and rebooting, my motherboard never gets past the BIOS screen. It says "Please press DEL or F2 to enter UEFI BIOS setting" but it completely ignores all keyboard input. So I can't get to the BIOS settings and...

HD4600 triple display menubar at bottom of screen glitch

My build is included in my signature. I'm running three displays off of the Intel HD4600 on my mobo: DVI connected to a DELL 2001FP 1600x1200 DP connected to a DELL U3415W 3440x1440 HDMI connected to a LG 3440x1440, which macOS describes as the "Built-in Display" I have 1536 MB for graphics...

Reading from HP DVD Writer 1265v

I do have a working drive, but not because of anything I did with macOS unfortunately. I ended up returning the drive claiming it was defective. The replacement seemed to work fine, so I chalked it up to a bad drive. I'm not totally sure that's the whole story, and I haven't used the drive in...

Reading from HP DVD Writer 1265v

There's another weird issue which may or may not be related. I have a USB disk enclosure and whenever I plug it into any USB port (case or motherboard), insert a SATA disk, then power on the enclosure, the disk never mounts and never shows up in Finder or Disk Utility. When booting in El...

Reading from HP DVD Writer 1265v

I have a 10.12.2 tosh working great except for a few minor annoyances. One is that the DVD drive doesn't seem to be able to mount or read either data DVDs or audio CDs. The DVD model is mentioned in the subject. I'm sure the drive is working - it shows up in BIOS, and when Sierra boots, I see...

Asus Gryphon Z97 Dual Monitors (DisplayPort + DVI)

Oh also, for kicks I tried connecting an HDMI TV up as the second display. That one doesn't give me any noise, but it's totally black. You can move e.g. Gather Windows to the HDMI TV but nothing shows up. I'm fairly sure it's not the HDMI inputs.

Asus Gryphon Z97 Dual Monitors (DisplayPort + DVI)

Thanks for the reply! System report is saying VRAM (Dynamic, Max): 1536 MB. You don't mean I should lower the vram do you? I'll try changing the system type in the meantime. Thanks for the info on the kext.

Asus Gryphon Z97 Dual Monitors (DisplayPort + DVI)

I've been running 10.10.5 beautifully for a while on a single 3440x1440 connected via DisplayPort. Just recently I got a Dell 2001FP which runs at 1600x1200 and hooked that up to the DVI on the Gryphon. This is using the built-in HD 4600 and 32GB of RAM. I know the 2001FP works, and when...
