[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Well I did what you asked and recorded every point that was a slow in verbose boot. So whenever a line just sits there, i called it a choke. Funny thing is that low apfs volume warning caused a bunch of other warning like "Intel Firmware" kept getting repeated for MINUTES. Therefore, I kept...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Apparently, TURNS OUT it was cause of low disk space. Of all the chokes in verbose, low disk space was one of them. It significantly increased boot time and actually messed up Youtube VP9 decoder (weird ikr). So I extracted ˜100GB from another partition back and it fixed everything. I...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Hi It's me again @Leesureone , for some reason since 6.3 and beyond I have horrible bootup time that actually lasts up to 2-3 minutes. I have a Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD. Was hoping that this more recent build would fix it but it does not seem to back off. So I am asking for your expertise with...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

I changed to your new USBPorts.kext, updated all kexts using hackintool. I will wait for my chances to check out the new sleep stability. I don't exactly get what you mean, so what exactly should we put in secure boot model (default or disabled)?, cause both the config from what you sent me...

The thing about it is that it is not consistent. It sometimes happens and I really don’t know a way to trigger it. I can try renabling it but I would like to know your config first since I am using the same one as yours

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

I just finished modifying the config to mine. I have been really wanna try out the new wifi support recently but the instruction is a bit confusing: 1. Besides adding kext to kernel section, is there something else I have to do? 2. I heard securebootmodel, forcesecurebootscheme, applesecureboot...

Hi, with the release of BigSur yesterday for Thurs have you come up with an upgrade path for users from Catalina: 1. I see that you have prep nuc8i7oc6.3 for BigSur. I am using your oc6.1 for Catalina. 2. If we were to upgrade how should we do it? 3. At what point into the installation process...

Sorry, I thought I lost you there for a moment. When you said you don't have your 8th gen anymore, I thought we would lose your support on this gen forever. Thanks for the update to 6.1, I hate to admit it but I am a bit dependent on you when it comes to updating.

Does this mean we will never hear from you again about future OC updates for NUC8? That is quite a disaster itself considering how many users are dependent on you here. If so thank you so much for your services for such a long time.

I saw one of the suggestion about installing drivers manually, this doesnt work for graphics. It doesnt necessarily to be Windows Boot Manager, just UEFI: you_windows_harddrive and that should get you to the right nvram of the NUC for you to install update. For the entire duration of the update...

I am on the latest version. There's nothing wrong with just updating the BIOS.

Does it work with MacOS UI, or do we still have to enter name and pass through text file?

If youre running opencore, why not put those kexts in EFI. Its much more stable and is immune to upgrade deletion of MacOS

A few user had issues. Try making sure USB config is correct. Dig through a few posts back and you'll find it
