Just wanted to update this thread with the sound issue. When I snapshoted my OpenCore folder for my config.plist, I forgot to delete all the drivers but the two. Did that now and sounds works perfectly, and everything is detected.

So I managed to install Big Sur. I switched from Clover to OpenCore 0.6.3. Everything works but sound. Funny thing is that when I booted into catalina (before updating) with the opencore install I had sound for both my video cards and the integrated onboard card.

Reboot/shutdown started working out of the blue. But I still don't have native sound. I can't remove the nvidia 1070 as I use it for my windows install. (I'm a gamer :D )

I have this same board with a i7-8700 CPU and run it in dual boot with two graphic cards. Nvidia 1070 and Radeon Sapphire 480. Successfully upgraded to Catalina but I can't make sound to work and it gets stuck at reboot/shutdown.

Hey Guys, I have an Asus X550L and it boots up fine, except of one annoying problem that doesn't lets me proceed. Whenever I press a letter it presses it 5, 6 times. So is I press A it inputs AAAAAAAAAA so I can't move the mach_kernel from the HDD Any thoughts, solutions? Thanks

I can boot into safe mode, i only got that error on normal boot: PCIRootUID=0 npci=0x2000 -v

I have the same problem, only that after the sound assersions i get another error: considerRebuildOfPrelinkedKernel I understand that we need to rollback the AppleACPIPlatform.kext I'll try this when I get home and reply back.
