    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

The reason you didn't see this in the BIOS is because of a bug in BIOS 1002. There is a bug that hides the entries "RC6(Render Standby)" and "DVMT Pre-Allocated" if you change "iGPU Multi-Monitor" from Disabled to Enabled. You then need to reboot once, and then the two missing entries show up.

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I posted about this a while ago, but only found a workaround. See post #1545.

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I have exactly the same problem with my ROG Strix Z370-F Gaming. I had the rear fan connected to CHA_FAN2, and the fan stopped running as soon as OS X boots up halfway (right when the progress bar appears when booting with -v). BIOS settings are ignored from that time on. HWMonitor also wasn't...

    [Solved] Prohibited Sign After apfs_module_start

Same problem here (with an ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING), and same solution. I had the Unibeast USB 3.0 stick plugged into a blue USB 3.0 port. This resulted in the same problem. Last output was this line about "apfs_module_start". Then after a while the screen got distorted, as can be seen in...

Guide - Fusion Drive using tonymacx86 Tools & Chimera

@swinte: Same behavior here. The Boot partition on the SSD is still there, but the Boot partition on the HD was deleted and a Recovery partition was added there instead. So far I didn't see any problems with this, except that my scripts for updating Chimera on the Boot partitions didn't work...

Guide - Fusion Drive using tonymacx86 Tools & Chimera

Thierry37, yes, the automatic update is not safe. But many other programs have update mechanisms too, and at least with this script you can review what it does. I would still prefer an update notification where the user has to manually download the update. Back to the topic: My Fusion Drive...

Guide - Fusion Drive using tonymacx86 Tools & Chimera

Thanks for the script, it worked after I fixed these two issues: - I had my drives named "Test" and "Test2". The script has a problem with this (I think in Format()), because it greps for drive names. And grepping for "Test" finds 2 drives. I was able to fix this by renaming my first drive to...
