The laptop screen turns off and never turns back until the reboot of the laptop. Maybe it's okay, but i thought that there shouldn't be any respose with disabled graphics card.
I mean, should i do anything to futher patch the graphics card? The battery life and strange reaction to HDMI plugging kinda bothers me. And what about other issues mentioned earlier, like non-functional battery status in statusbar and random kernel panics?
What version of VoodooI2C are you using? I have the same issues as yours on any version higher than 2.0.3. So, I sticked to 2.0.3 now and it works, though not flawlessly.
I've made a GitHub repo for tracking (and reverting bad changes), you can pull my current files from there, if you want
I've attached it now. Could you look if i've disabled the graphics card properly? I can't find it in IOReg anymore, but the laptop tries to do something when i plug in HDMI (and turns off screen and never turns it back on until reboot) and i get ˜2 hours of battery life like described in first...
Hello. It's been a while I'm started using Mac and it has almost no flaws now, but two things are bugging me. Rarely, while the laptop is idling, it panics and reboots. The second one is that the battery indicator in status bar works randomly. It shows the battery percentage when i unplug the...
Yes, i thought so too. But in IOReg i find only I2C touchpad and in Windows the only I2C HID-device is touchpad. And the keyboard shows as PS/2. Here's the problem reporting files, though. Maybe you'll find my mistake here. Thanks, by the way.
UPD: I was stupid enough to delete VoodooPS2Kext...
Yes, I've been following that guide from the thread in FAQ.
To proceed with GPIO pinning I need my device to show up in IOReg. And for this i need to apply Windows patches. That's where my problem is. Applying different Windows patches leads to different results:
1. My keyboard dies, but the...
Yes, this ioreg.
I think the PS2 kexts are used because I didn't install I2C kexts yet, because i can't properly patch DSDT. I looked up the touchpad model in google and it says that it uses I2C bus.
EC method calls moved to _REG, this works alright, thanks.
Oh, I feel like I'm abusing this forum with my stupid questions, but I really want to fix my issues. And here they are:
1. If i boot Mac with my lid closed, Mac doesn't recognise my screen, when i open the lid, but if the lid was opened, i can close and open the lid as much as i want.
2. I want...
Yes, I removed VoodooI2C kexts for the time being, I thought that they may be the reason the keyboard stop working. But they are not, as it seems.
But what's the difference between S/L/E and L/E?
I fell Hackintoshing is like sailing on a leaky boat. You plug one hole, the other one opens.
So. I've managed to get almost everything working, besides touchpad, Wi-Fi (obviously) and card reader. The problem is that my in-built keyboard falls off at random moments and i don't know the cause...
