    Thank you so much @trs96 for all your help, I removed the sata power & cable from the cd rom and there were no reboots. Also, Wifi is working after installing adapter drivers.

    1) I recently upgraded my cpu to i7 and installed hackintosh on it, Now there is a random noise on the my cd drive and my pc reboots after 20-30 seconds. 2) Wifi adapter - TP link TL WN725N (Wifi symbol isn't there and from network there is not option of wifi, Currently using the lan port)...

    I mean it's a mechanical sound from the desktop, Yes its the original power supply. Sure, I'll start a new thread. Update: I had to remove sata cables from cd rom and reboot issues were gone.

    Thanks a lot, That works. I'll keep an eye if it reboots again. Some more concerns: 1) I have a wifi adapter but wifi isn't showing up. Installed wifi adapter driver and it worked. 2) I installed a i7 3770 today replacing the i5, Do you think the i7 is more power hungry and is causing reboot...

    Update: I bought i7 3770 as per the advice @nocakemac , I would really like another opinion on the 970 evo plus.

    I agree with you on getting an i7 3770. While I still dwell on thinking about the ssd as the speeds are 5x faster with 870 evo plus and very close prices between the two. :crazy:
