I upgraded to macOS High Sierra (10.13.6). That fixed the problem with the DVD-RW drive. It is now recognized by the SATA Controller as "TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-D633A" and works with the DVD Player. I still have the problems with Bluetooth and USB described above. Please help.

Updated through the App Store with Clover 4558, system definition iMac17,1. No problems. Interestingly, on 10.13.6 mounting the EFI volume using diskutil now requires privilege: Is this expected behaviour, or am I doing something wrong?
