Thanks for your input, that was one of the things I tried but it didn't work for me however I have now managed to get into 10.6.8 by updating the nvidia drivers from "downloads".

As an update possibly of interest to others with my build I was able to get into Lion by using -v npci=0x2000 on each of the three times I reinstalled Lion but when I went to make the recommended kext changes from here and other sites I was unable to get past "PCI configuration begin".

Sorry the link did not help with your problem, I found one of the solutions worked for me when I had 10.6.8 running (long and boring story).
I am surprised that you cannot use the app store with 10.6.3 it worked for me and still does with 10.6.7, hopefully someone with more knowledge will assist.
In the hope that someone out there can help I still have my original Snow Leopard drive backed up and can see the Lion install would it help to try to run multibeast again on the lion drive.

I loaded Lion over SL 10.6.7 did Multibeast easybeast and repair permissions, added lnx2mac network fix and bootloaders, at startup I get Apple logo which hangs, if I type -v npci=0x2000 at startup I eventually get lion running.
I guess I need to change some items but would appreciate...

Many thanks to Lupeto for this thread, I have built my first pc from scratch and now have Snow Leopard running without problems.
Had some difficulties due to steep learning curve but resolved by much reading here, I now need a book on how to convert from windows to Mac OSX
