I'm "converting" my old High Sierra clover build to Big Sur on OpenCore 0.7.2. I can get into the installer just fine, but mouse and keyboard aren't working. I understand this is an issue with USB mapping, but maybe I'm totally wrong.

Do you have a board serial number and smUUID set up in clover? If you don't, clover is generating a new SmUUID on every boot which may be what's causing your issue.

First time I booted up I got a 52 error from the LED on the mobo, but I think one wasn't seated correctly. After reseating them, it's been fine, though the mobo LED says 51, but apparently that's a thunderbolt thing.
I would switch to the HDMI on your GPU, but make sure the bios setting for graphics is using that. On the z170x it's in the Peripherals section called Initial Display Output, Set that to PCIe 1 or wherever your called is installed.
