That's so weird, my settings are almost the exact opposite and my machine is running fine now. I have XHCI on Auto, XMP enabled so it utilizes my ram (1600mhz vs 1333mhz it was showing before), and EHCI hand-off is enabled. And it's all working perfectly now...
I should really learn more about...
It just takes a long time to sleep, but it wakes near instantly. I can wake via keyboard now that I made the BIOS tweaks (from sleep & display off).
All seems to be working fairly well - and the sleep issues are apparently somewhat related to Mavericks, as I'm noticing a delay on my Mac Mini...
I think I kinda/sorta got it working now. It was 99% tweaking the BIOS.
I went back into Multibeast and installed the "AppleRTC Patch for CMOS Reset" - which deletes NullCPUPowerManagement.kext, but still allows you to boot w/o a kernel panic.
For the BIOS:
I believe a combo of Turning off CPU...
Having some issues with my Z77X-UD5H related to waking from sleep or when the display turns off. Just posted here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks-desktop-support/112734-sleep-issues-wont-wake-sleep-display-off-usb-kb-mouse.html
Anyone run into the same thing?
Haven't had this issue up until now, but I went from 10.8.3 to Mavericks. Running a GA-Z77X-UD5H, i7 3770k, using HD4000 graphics - Monitor connected via DVI.
Machine boots fine, restarts fine, and manually sleeping/turning off display allows waking within a minute or two by hitting the...
I had boot issues too after I first installed, but that was because I didn't update chimera. Finally got back in and installed the latest (2.2.1 I believe) and it's working perfectly now.
Although I just have a single SSD boot drive, not a fusion drive setup.
Nice build :)
I came across your thread while searching for a fix for iMessage in 10.8.3 on my new Hackintosh. Turns out it's a pretty simple fix.. just go to the tonymacx86 downloads area and get Chimera 2.0.1. Run the installer and reboot. Boom. Works fine now.
Thought I'd leave a quick...
Wow. I sure feel like an idiot. Turns out it didn't like that I was using HDMI. Switched to DVI and it worked without a hitch.
Try using a different video output..
PCIRootUID=0 helped me get past the initial boot after install. Once I installed the basics in Multibeast, it worked perfectly.
Yes. I did exactly as that walkthrough said on my second attempt. Same issues. I think the problem may have something to do with the fact that I'm trying with 10.8.3 (only downloaded version I have on my MacBooks).
Edit: Tried DVI instead of HDMI.. Worked perfectly. Also used "-v PCIRootUID=0" during install/first boot and it seemed to make things work better (proper resolution, etc).
I walked through the 10.8 Installation Guide and the BIOS setup for Gigabyte boards, I went through them each about 10...
I'm having similar issues with the same motherboard. My machine:
Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H (Rev 1.0/BIOS F14)
i7 3770k
No video card - just HD4000 graphics (plugged into monitor via HDMI)
The installation went off without a hitch. But I encountered the Apple logo and spinning wheel when it restarted...
