It matters not at all if the card is whitelisted for a lenovo machine or not. The card in my x230 is an atheros but the computer sees it as an intel 6300. I never tried to get the wifi working in windows, but I'm pretty sure that it isn't worth the effort it would take to do that, my thought...

Honestly I found the install to be fairly easy considering the HW (Xeon,nvme etc). The thing that was the biggest challenge was dealing with the 4k screen and issues with startup once the video drivers were loading properly.

I actually have 10.12.1 up and running on my p50 with a xeon, m2000m, and a 4k panel. I followed your other thread on El Capitan and started from scratch. Still need to disable the nvidia and tweak the power management stuff some more.

At least on mine I installed the boot loader on my efi partition for clover (Ubuntu 10). Further i booted into clover and then selected the USB drive from the boot menu, installed Ubuntu and it did this automatically. Also Ubuntu is terribad, Mint is much better if you like Ubuntu style linux.

I have a gigabyte z170 gaming 7 that I can boot into the installer with if I use the USB inject all kext. &nbsp;The problem I have is that it doesn't see any SATA drives. &nbsp;Any thoughts?<br><br>

You might want to look into that SSD performance, that is terrible. Mine is 500 read 300 write with the same drive on a different chipset.
