Hi! If you have 21.5 inch iMac you can easily upgrade to i7 2600s. If yours is 27 inch your choice is standard i7 2600. Heatsink is fine just change cpu and you are good to go!

Hi! I have a 2011 iMac too. Mine is 21.5 inch. As I understand only Kepler cards have full support. So u stuck to gtx700 series cards. I bought Gtx 765m from Clevo. Also I upgraded a cpu from i5 2400s to i7 2600s. Everything works flawlessly! Fcpx performance is really nice. Premiere Pro works...
