ohhh, i forgot to mention... I'm also using Dell D600 docking station, I was trying also to connect HDMI cable to HDMI port at dock station, and it was the same, unsuppotred video format, but when I connect this cable thru DP to HDMI connector, thru dock station DP, i get 4K res on tv and 1080...

I dont have a DP port in my philips tv. It is a 4k tv for sure, like I said on windows it works with that connector, but I can understand that macOS can refuse to work with a cheap things...heh, when I connect my tv to laptop, i have an option to change for 4K res, but then i get black screen...

ok, again small update. It seems to both dell's have now over 2000mb VRAM, but still in system report max resolution is 1920 x 1080... Some ideas why?? Both of those graphic chips definately can run on 4K ( checked at Intel ARK, on windows I can have a 4K res)... Since because on Optiplex...

ok, small update. both Dell's have stetted DVMT for 0x03 (96mb) but still I can't make them work with 4K...

@nicksoph i just change DVMT to 0x03, then i put again command to check what value is now and its showing 0x03... it is possible that it goes good at it should be?? can I reboot now or change it to 0x02 for 64 mb?

Hell no!! It means I can't run 4K on those machines, even if it work properly on Windows and Linux??

@nicksoph I have use that guide to try set DVMT for 96mb for having 4K, but both Dell machines I posses (optiplex 5060 nad Latitude 7490) have options to set it max to 64 mb. Any further ideas? Atached ss of extracted BIOS

@trs96 I've done some small research and BIOS extracting. However, both dell machines I posses (Optiplex 5060 and Latitude 7490) have only an option to set 64mb Pre-Allocated DVMT. I cant set 96 mb as the BIOS will not reckognize this arguments... Both machines have same "one Of Option", and...

I believe it will not work with this ammount of adapters xD However, I'm using small DP to HDMI adapter, and it works on both DP ports, so with that kind of adapter you should have no problem. I bought that adapter for about 10 euro, so it is not that expensive. Hope you'll manage that in...
