    [Guide] Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3+EVGA GTX650

I was thrilled to find this guide as it pertains to hardware I had lying around. I haven't worked with Hackintoshes in many years and was inspired to give it another try. I've done my very best to follow this and the general Sierra installation guide but after getting past incredibly slow boot...

    miramar's Baby75 - GA-B75M-D3V - i7 3770 - GT640 - ATX - Mountain Lion

I'm interested to hear about this build. It sounds great, nice and easy and compatible. I do find it odd that you can't mute, but that shouldn't be a huge problem. I was wondering though, I saw you said you had issues with the Lnx2Mac Ethernet driver. Would you still suggest it, despite that, as...

GUIDE: GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 UEFI BIOS - ALL WORKING, DSDT not required!

This guide has been incredible for me, now having done three Hackintoshes with this mainboard. I do have a couple small questions because the updates to Multibeast have changed some of the options and I want to be sure I select the correct ones, since I hope to make this my primary computer and...

    Mountain Lion and 9400GT

Hey, thanks for your reply. I wondered if Mountain Lion had dropped some graphics cards. The 9800GTX+ sure seems to not work - has the same complete lack of functionality under Mountain Lion as the 9400GT. Tested a BFG Geforce 210, which come to think of it may be different from a GT210, but...

    Mountain Lion and 9400GT

GUIDE: GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 UEFI BIOS - ALL WORKING, DSDT not required!

Thank you Memmerson, that's a very clever suggestion and looks to be feasible but I'm not familiar with DSDT creation/editing, and I can't help but to have continued tinkering. If I may present you and everyone with my continuing story: I had access to an i5 with HD3000 graphics and installing...

GUIDE: GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 UEFI BIOS - ALL WORKING, DSDT not required!

New information for my case, which may have sort of solved itself, but maybe not. The system does not work, as above, with my GeForce 240 installed. However, removing it and using the onboard video ports, even though they are together with the unsupported "HD graphics" of the Celeron processor...

GUIDE: GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 UEFI BIOS - ALL WORKING, DSDT not required!

Thank you for your fast reply! That's great! The only trouble is that I am using DVI to connect to my monitor, not HDMI. And like I said, it is not the onboard video, it is a GeForce 240 graphics card on the main PCIe 16x slot. Thanks though.

GUIDE: GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 UEFI BIOS - ALL WORKING, DSDT not required!

Thank you for this guide. I found it really exciting and was eager to get to work on my system. I have run into trouble though and am here to inquire. I have read through a large portion of this incredibly long thread but didn't find my answer, though I did find all kinds of interesting...

    Incredibly slow hard drive performance

Of course it helps, or at least the intent is there. The SSD, the primary, is on one of the white SATA 6 Gbps ports and the 2 TB secondary used to be on a white port but is now on a blue 3 Gbps port. It was my understanding that the immediately previous versions of Multibeast and Chimera...

    Incredibly slow hard drive performance

Thank you. You are indeed correct about that. However, now that you've mentioned it, I realize that the method you indicate is in fact what I had done. I had things confused with a, dare I say, Windows machine I had to tinker with symlinks to move the user folder. But on this, my Hackintosh...

    Incredibly slow hard drive performance

I've come to realize that my Hackintosh tower, based on one of the CustomBeast builds, is experiencing incredibly slow hard drive performance. The drive in question is a secondary drive, a standard rotating disk, used for storing data/my home folder. My home folder is properly moved to the...
