Most processors fail to run with Mac OS's native hypervisor framework so the native client doesn't work.
You probably will have to use the legacy Docker Toolbox solution.

The documentation on the net is a bit poor so you might not notice...
I get the same error, the EFI partition was created on Linux:
/dev/disk0 (internal, physical):

It's just needed for the bootlader to load the kernel file, basic file access isn't likely to change much but who knows?
Clover probably does the same, kernel + kexts files. Uh, interesting, but I'd really like to not see those log messages in the beginning perhaps Clover devs might want to...
This update worked perfectly for me! The OS X graphics drivers recognized my old NVIDIA card again like it used to (Not sure if it's because of something else I changed) so I'm very happy with it (: I didn't have to do anything, I just upgraded normally.
Well, it doesn't seem to be doing much harm, and all of a sudden my native OS X drivers began recognizing my NVIDIA card, as it used to, but I still can't see anything under Hardware/PCI in System Information.
Well, this is strange. It's working rock solid now. Thanks to Tony's Clover config. :) I'm undecided whether I should get rid of High Sierra or not. Reinstalling macports won't be a breeze for sure.
No, that would take a lot of time, I found a well tested patch file on insanelymac that combines a few useful patches and that works. It could take a lot of extra effort to try every one of those and see if they work with my board revision, though I imagine there could be some patches skipped...
I can try FA or FB. I didn't realize it was a beta release.
I am using a DSDT I applied a patch file to DSDT extracted with Clover. So far, this is the one that's working the best, it works better than the one in the DSDT database. I shared my DSDT on a separate post...
Oh, I posted that on the wrong thread, sorry! It's not a laptop problem, it's a desktop problem but a serious one I think. I posted it on the appropriate forum.
My problem: NVIDIA web drivers went into a reboot loop with my mostly working Sierra Legacy Clover boot using a patched DSDT.
Well, I changed two things:
1) I reverted back to iMac14,2 SMBIOS
2) I added EmuVariable-64.efi driver to Clover
That's about it. It fixes both VESA and NVIDIA...
