Ma I ask you, which Hardware Setup you have? You mentioned that you've two gpus, right? Does this work with hd530 only? Maybe it is useful, that you post your config.

If you've the same issue, like I had, your Mac thinks, the monitor is a tv. You can check this if you open the monitor-menue in the top right mac menue.
The Patch, which helped me is "Mac-pixel-clock-patch" in Version 2.
After this Patch my mac recognizes my 2*** x 1440 Monitor as Monitor...

In my case it has s.th. to do with an high res Dell Monitor. Not with the graphic Card. There exist a fix for all Macs. I'm underway. Cannot search it right now. You'll find it right here in the forum
Menuebar -> Monitor. Open it.
if there is s.th. Writen like "XXX TV: and your Monitor Name". Than your Monitor will only get RGB-Signal.
If that is the case pls have a Look in the known issues in the Guide area.
