Hey, I seem to have a similar problem (at least it still happened before the upgrade to 15.1): it does not freeze, but the spinning beachball appears and I can enter my password letter by letter - one minute per letter. Do you still have the problem and is it similar ?

Supplemental update installed - had to select 2 or 3 times the boot from install... option myself, but other than that, no problems.

I am not getting further than the install (sometimes) on bios 71, getting a ˋkextd stall’ on appleACPICPU, AWAC. Anybody any ideas ? Installing on a regular EVO 970, nuc8i7 UPDATE: finally got it installed by comparing config.plist and adding keys from other config.plist.
