I don't have that problem, but just checked my board and see that I'm using CHA_FAN1 and CPU_OPT for my case fans. Unusual that I selected CPU_OPT, maybe CHA_FAN2 didn't work? I can't remember. Can you try using CHA_FAN1 & CPU_OPT for your case fans and see how that goes?

I updated to 10.13.5 today and lost audio. I got it back by: Run Multibeast and select: 100 / 200 / 300 Series Audio Support 200 / Z370 Series / X299 Audio Device ID Patch Build -> Install Reboot Run Multibeast again and select: ALC1220A (ASUS ROG STRIX Only) Reboot again Updating the OP.

No problems with iCloud. Are you using Clover with emulated NVRAM? I think NVRAM is broken for this board and that emulated NVRAM is necessary. Try enabling it - either by installing the clover version with it (see downloads), or re-running multi-beast with the emulated NVRAM option checked...

I haven't seen anything like that personally, but maybe. If you have a HDMI TV, you could try connecting the RX to it to see if thats the issue.

I got my onboard audio to work after my last post update, but I'm not sure exactly what sequence did it :) I think the issue is probably resolved in the latest Multibeast update in any case - https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/multibeast-10-3-update.251336/ - Changed Drivers Audio → Realtek...

I rebuild the machine this weekend and updated the guide. Changes - Switched to iMac14,2. With iMac18,3 & 10.13.4, I had to use Lilu & WhateverGreen for dual monitors. That mostly worked, but I would occasionally get a black screen on wake. With 14,2, video just works out of box. Switched to...

Within HWMonitor, I see the processor change multiplier/frequencies from 800mhz to the maximum turbo frequency, based on load. There may be more to it than that, but that's the only functionality I know of that may behave differently (or not be visible at all) if it wasn't working properly.

Just noticed your post. No - It reads "3.7GHz Processor Unknown". There's a resource edit you can do to change it, but its purely cosmetic.

I lost audio after updating to 10.13.4 but everything else went OK. Audio fix in an edit to the OP. I get the full video card model now in About This Mac. Woohoo.

Haha - nope! I wanted to change my avatar from the generic squid thingy and good ole' resedit was my first though. Maybe I'll go find a Stuffit Expander icon.

Yep. I don't think that it would work with Sierra.

The BIOS and some of the other details yes, but the USB layout is likely to be very different.

Bios versions and downloads are listed here. The board shipped with the 0605 version, which is what I used originally, and I upgraded to 0606 when it came out. Both have worked without issue for me, but I would recommend holding off on updating. 0606 includes Intel's microcode mitigation for...
