Hey guys! First off, I got say thank all the contributions in this post! It made my Yosemite update really smoothly, specially because of ElectronShaper's multibeast settings. So far, everything is going great! Only situation I come across sometimes is the hackintosh freezing, monitor going...

    New Mavericks install freeze, GA-X58A-U3DR

Finally I found someone with almost the same hardware as me and with the same problem! I was so stressed that I created a post about "our problem", in which I got some sugestions (might help you): http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/102476-freezes-gigabyte-x58a-ud3r-osx-mountain-lion.html...

Freezes Gigabyte X58A-UD3R - OSX Mountain Lion

Once again, thanks for the idea ecoarena. I have done that too and it seems to be better, aka, it doesn't freeze everyday. More or less, from two to two days, it freezes. Odd...because I can't find anything out of the ordinary that could make it have this behaviour...

Freezes Gigabyte X58A-UD3R - OSX Mountain Lion

Sometimes, I had freezes when I was using itunes or youtube, for example. But...mostly, I didn't have any active sound when the freeze happened.

Freezes Gigabyte X58A-UD3R - OSX Mountain Lion

rmmcwh So around 18:50 I had a freeze, went to read it....but my knowledge of code isn't exactly top notch. I copied what was on the console in that period... if someone can see something wrong, would be great :D (sorry for such a long text)

Freezes Gigabyte X58A-UD3R - OSX Mountain Lion

UrbanBard, thanks for your advice! I though it could be a hardware problem, but I can't understand what component might be causing the problem. I have ran both repair disk and repair permissions, see if it solves. If not, I'll try to remove the graphics card and see if that is the problem.

A quick update: ran kext wizard, did the repair permissions and rebuild cache. Today when starting it... again, same problem. Freeze, reboot, worked for 3 hours with no freezes whatsoever.

Freezes Gigabyte X58A-UD3R - OSX Mountain Lion

First of all, thank you for your attention ecoarena. I'm used the latest version of Multibeast but it has been happening from the start (back in mountain lion 10.8.2). The Kext Wizard I have never used. So your advice is to run it and repair permissions and rebuild cache? Same as you, I just...

Freezes Gigabyte X58A-UD3R - OSX Mountain Lion

Hey everybody! Well, I've been having a very strange problem for quite a while that I just can't find a way to fix it. Basically, every time I boot my hackintosh, after around 4 minutes it freezes. I'm able to use the mouse...but everything is stuck. Then, I'm forced to reset it...and problem...

    GA-X58-UD3R - No sound?

balgenbruder My sound is working quite well. No problems, so far. Mine says 64bit=Yes. What I did was, when running multibeast for the first time, select 32bits boot loader, then run it again (after a reboot) and only select 64 bits bootloader. Worked out fine for me ;)

    GA-X58-UD3R - No sound?

So guys, after re-installing mac os x over and over, I think I finally have it stable. I just used the multibeast configuration like notshy and it's stable. I have audio, ethernet and it doesn't seem to have awkward errors like before. Basically, I decided not to use the new ATI kexts, opting...

    GA-X58-UD3R - No sound?

immapc thanks for your reply! Hm...so the dvd player problem has to do with the dvd drive? Well...that's not that bad, I guess. Sad though, but I can find another one. About the DSDT, I have to be honest...I don't exactly what happened. Basically, I downloaded a DSDT from the database...
