Installing el cap won't make a difference. The different RAM modul isn't going to make any difference either. But why do you take a 6700k with a 970 when you can take a 6600k with a 1070 instead. But anyways it won't make a big deal... most importantly: take the same motherboard. If you have any...
My gtx 970 had the same problem, when you boot without nv_disable=1 you end up with a black screen after the graphic switcher switches from the intergraded graphics too your graphics card, the problem on my hackintosh was that the DVI port wasn't supported in sierra anymore but HDMI works fine...
Hi Toleda. Thanks for making this guide. But I still ran in too a problem, sorry if it's something obvious.
1: When I run the codec detect command it says:
"Error: no IOReg/HDEF; BIOS/audio/disabled or ACPI problem" and when I want to visit the given link but it said that the site wasn't in use...
That's a pity, If i find a way to fix it i let you know, I just saw that in the about my mac tab it also displayed that i have 0 NVRAM maybe that has something to do with it... Anyways, thanks for your time.
Kind regards Kota.
So on my hackintosh there is a piece a software that let OS X think it's there? If that's true than my boot failure is caused by a faulty piece of software right?
Kind regards Kota.
Thanks for the quick response,
I think it's indeed a problem with the GPU switcher because it shuts down at the same place on the loading bar as it did when i had problem #4. Did you managed to fix the problem with the GPU switcher on your 2010 MacBook Pro or is there no fix found yet?

The last thing i can think of is that not al the bios settings are set correctly like explained in the installer guide: Step 3: Recommended BIOS Settings. Like i said i'm not an expert, If this doesn't work i guess you have to find someone more experienced like Ammulder our so.
Hi,
I'm not an expert but you say you are using fat32, To make a bootable USB you need to format it to mac OS X extended (journaled). The problem is that your computer doesn't see the USB as bootable and just goes to the next boot option (your linux drive)
Hope i helped you out.
