Was this ever resolved? I was looking at the same components and don't see the point of getting the high speed memory if you can't set the xmp.

Before I start heading down this road of building my own box I am curious if anyone has had issues with running vmware or parallels on their configuration. If you have had problems, what version and what type of problems. Thanks
