Got it! After many hours or randomly trying stuff that didn't work, I copied the USB's /Extra folder over to the Lion drive. Voila! Works. Turns out it needed the org.chameleon.boot.plist. I needed the following boot flags, "GraphicsEnabler=Yes npci=0x3000 PCIRootUID=1". I had tried...

Ah, because the USB uses its own /Extra folder, not the drive's /Extra folder. So all those extensions and plists were being used, and that made the difference. Once I coped the USB's /Extra folder over to the hard drive, voila! All fixed.

I'm sure I did miss a step. But fundamentally, I'm just more perplexed by the differing behavior between booting from my Unibeast USB stick and the Lion drive. Something must be going on to explain the difference.

I'm not sure what method you used to install Snow Leopard, but I've had good luck using SleepEnabler.kext on my GA-EP45-UD3P rev 1.1 board. I also have NullCPUPowerManagement.kext installed, which I believe will affect sleep behavior for better or worse.
