Doing a clean install won't make any difference at all. I've done about 3 clean install of LION (not because of the fan) and it hasn't fixed it. Surely there must be a way to control the gpu fan speed. Let me know if you find a fix or anything. :)

How does the fan on your graphics card run? I just received my and it works OOB but the fan runs at high speed all the time! Such a great card and I also want to thank you for posting this. I bought this graphics card because you said it works OOB and kicks butt! Which it does!
