it works with lion... the only problem with this method is the card is only recognized as a 5000 series card, if i turn graphicsenabler to yes i get it detected as 5600 series card but with a lot of 16:10 and 4:3 resolutions no 1920x1080
i also have a Philips LCD 24inch screen, i think i do get 1650x1050 with graphicsenabler =yes but then next one up is 2500x1050 and it skips my 1920x1080.
Your saying you had 1920x1080 out of the box with the 5670 and with graphics enabler = yes? thats odd how did you install OS X. (quick tutorial please).
no i tried using iMac 11,2 because the 5670 is out of those macs and they have a built in resolution of 1920x1080, so i thought that when i plugged in my monitor with imac it would work but it didnt. Also i did try with Mac Pro 3,1 before i switched to imac mode, there is no difference between...
Intergrated graphics do not work with Mac OS X.
i have tried installing mac on some older computers with built in graphics before too and it wasn't worth the effort. Unless you have a Graphics card that is known to work there is a very unlikely chance it will. again look at the 8400GS card its...
No the g31 will not work with OS X. You could possibly have a chance with HD3000 intergrated but not those.
Google your hardware and see if there has been any success with it before you buy anything.
I would suggest you have atleast 2gb ram and a supported graphics card. Supported graphics...
Firstly i have a ATi 5670 and it is a good card but there is one small problem running it in OS X. The only OOB resolution i could get were resolutions for the Big iMacs which was 2500x1400 and 1600x1200 but there was no 1920x1080 resolution. I have seen in System Profiler that my computer is...

lol sorry for the script thing lol it was late when i was writing this. um, i don't get why that wouldn't work, try using -v before you boot and see what its hanging on.
to edit the boot plist just double click on it and it will open in text edit (remember to save the edited plist over the un-edited one). no need to open it in xmove. once there put in
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<script>arch=i386 USBLegacyOff=Yes</script>
Firstly it is a good card but there is one small problem running it in OS X.
Since the card was made for iMac's the only OOB resolutions you can get are ones for the Built-In apple monitors in the Apple iMac's and they do not include 1399x768 or 1920x1080
The only way to get 1399x768 and...
Re: HELP! Snow Leopard Install
it will most likely work, but your graphics probably won't. i think there may have been success with the HD 2000 intergrated and HD 3000 so you may be able to get it to work.
