I would like to know if i can use my gtx 970 for all of my displays, and then have the 390x sitting in my computer without monitors at all just doing opencl calculations.

Let me start off with explaining my situation. I would like to run a vm in osx. I would use a gtx 970 for osx and have an r9 390x just for the Windows vm. Is this possible to do? My specs are in my signature. Is it possible to set up a vga pass through inside of osx? edit - doing my reasearch...

looking at it, My bios is from sometime in 2011 I definitely have a very old revision. maybe that will fix it.

most likely. the only thing is the bios which I think is already up to date. I dont know how to install it without windows

graphical glitches gone, still have wake from sleep problems.

and all of them show this. Kernel trap at 0xffffff80003296c7. the same adress.

also here are my panic logs once, the system took 2:30 to kernel panic, the other took a little over 5 minutes.

the sleep problems happen maybe a minute after a successful wake. it basically says it restarted unexpectedly because of a problem. ive somewhere about a problem with the 8111 ethernet driver but i dont know. i can probably get a 4gb stick today

so is there any way to fix the sleep problems? right now i am running Ubuntu until I can figure the problems out. and now the sleep works, its just that maybe a minute after waking, it restarts. I heard somewhere that someone had a problem with the 8111 Ethernet driver, but i know if that will help
