Thanks for the patience RehabMan! BY THE WAY, keep seeing MacOS update available notifications. What's the best practice? update? Then need to run anything?
Hi, didn't find out how to do this:
Hi, how do you generate audio codec dump?
You will find out if you use Google (it is the first step in any AppleHDA patching guide)... or you can check in Windows Device Manager to get the codec-id (properties, details).
Instead, followed your next...
Hi, how do you generate audio codec dump?
How do you use the provided file? Put it into the kext folder? If that is the case, after doing that, do I still need to run anything?
macOS downloaded from my MacBook Air, so it's a good copy. USB installer created using the same MacBook Air. I finally saw AppleHDA.kext after doing sudo kextcache -i /, though after 3 reboots, still no audio. Will try to reinstall from scratch for the 3rd time.
Hi! Kindly check again.
Did the following:
1. Reinstalled MacOS on the same hard disk, without deleting the target partition (overwrite).
2. cd ~/Projects/nuc.git/
3. ./install_downloads.sh
4. Reboot, selected "without caches"
5. sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

Sorry, I have since changed to NUC6i5SYH.

Unfortunately, I still don't have audio working for my NUC6i5SYH. Is there a specific kext for audio that needs to be installed? I re-installed and used the RehabMan config.plist. This time around, didn't use whatever other alternatives, used RehabMan's already, and yeah, finally got the option...
@Lanman71, yeah, instructions all around is an understatement :D

I finally got it working, after watching a youtube video. Just want to clarify, by "install Clover to SSD," don't you have to copy the kexts, config.plist to your SSD's EFI/Clover/...? I eventually had to do that manually, to be able to boot in.
Now, I've got a working Mac, don't have...
I was wondering why reading Post #2, and re-reading it doesn't actually tell me to copy config.plist onto the hdd/ssd manually, neither did it mention anything about the kext to be manually copied. I did mention you have to place config.plist onto the usb, and the kexts also. I assume this...
Hi RehabMan,
Sorry, there is just something I'm not seeing and getting. Hope you can extend some more help.
I've got a working MacOS High Sierra on AFPS, on my m.2 SSD. Whenever I pull out my USB, it currently gives me Clover, with the following options:
1. Start UEFI Shell 64
2. Clover...
Hi RehabMan,
I hope you can clarify something. I've read post #2, and it says"
"Post Installation
10. At this point, you are ready for "Post Installation", you first step should be to install the Clover bootloader to your HDD. Installing Clover to your HDD is very similar to installing to...
Hi! Does it mean I cannot reboot after installing MacOS? I have successfully installed High Sierra, and have rebooted several times already. Never did I run anything to install Clover. How do I start installation now? I only see install_osx mounted, and when I clicked on it, I only see...
