NVMe Kernel Panic - Out of ideas

Oh wow, I thought I was the only one with the issue. So I have two NVMe drives, both WD_BLACk SN750 SE drives, one is 1TB ( macOS install ) the other is a 250GB ( Windows 10 OS ). I would randomly get NVMe kernel panics, but it seemed to only happen after sleeping for long periods ( overnight )...

    General NVMe Drive Problems (Fatal)

Quick question, I read through most of this thread and didn't see anything about secondary drives causing any issues. Curious if anyone else is having this issue where after a long sleep cycle the computer becomes unresponsive. I've also randomly see it lock up with the same error. I...

    [Success] b1's "Mac Mini Killer" with macOS Mojave: i7-8700 | Gigabyte Z370N | RX560 | 16GB RAM

Bring this post back from the dead, anyone have the downloadable bootx64.efi command line file? My MB reset itself when I swapped cases and I need to downgrade to F12 and rerun the CFG Lock command so I can boot back into macOS. Note, I dug through some of the posts after the post above, and...

Updated to Clover r5114, Lilu (1.4.3), WhateverGreen (1.3.8), ran the auto updated, and it worked perfect.

@rafale77 Sorry, for the late reply. So, I hadn't actually updated to 10.15.4, but I just did yesterday. Updated to Clover r5114, updated to the latest AppleALC (1.4.8), Lilu (1.4.3), Whatevergreen (1.3.8). Then ran the installer, and everything worked perfect. Edit: Added my config.plist

Hey @rafale77! Yea I've upgraded to 10.15.4 already, and been stable for a while now. Currently I have disabled iGPU and run off my eGPU, but I've been meaning to get around to enabling iGPU, just haven't had the time. I'll post my plist later tonight.

    j0s3ph's Build: Gigabyte Z370N - i9-9900K - RX580

Hey, Mikey! thanks for the info! I chose 18,3 because I had read somewhere here it being the most compatible for Z370 boards. Looking back, the post I had read was probably before the i9-9900K was out. Funny you mention iGPU as that's next on my to do list. I originally disabled it just to get...

    j0s3ph's Build: Gigabyte Z370N - i9-9900K - RX580

Updated to 10.15.3, followed the instructions, moved all my kexts over to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other. So far everything works! I had to move back AppleHDA back into /L/E to get sound working again.

<< Solved >> Catalina easy update and sound fix

Note: I just updated to 10.15.13, upgraded to the latest AppleALC (1.4.6), moved ALL my kexts over to /EFI/.../Clover/kexts/other/ ( including AppleHDA ). Ran the upgraded from Software Update, once it finished and I logged in I had no sound. Moved back the vanilla AppleHDA into /L/E/, clear...

    j0s3ph's Build: Gigabyte Z370N - i9-9900K - RX580

Update: Forgot to install the 2nd NVMe m.2 drive. So I had to pull it half apart to get to the back of the motherboard. o_O I also found out I had wired wired up the 3 bottom fans incorrectly. Apparently, when chaining fans together (PWM fans), you only need to connect 3 of the 4 wires. In my...

    j0s3ph's Build: Gigabyte Z370N - i9-9900K - RX580

Oh okay, will do. . I agree, very MacPro like. Yea, there's a EK 120mm fan under the rad pushing air up through the case out the top. Along with the 240 in the front panel pulling air in. Phantek's makes a AIR version of this case, with side panels made of fabric, but personally I...

The New Beginner's Guide to USB Port Configuration

I should mentioned, all my Kexts are in /L/E, not on purpose, but mainly because when using hackintool to install kexts this is the default location :O. Is there a way to test if kexts in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other are being used?

The New Beginner's Guide to USB Port Configuration

Hm, so I've tested a this a few different ways. I'm noticing that adding the USBPorts.kext to /EFI/CLOVER/kext/other doesn't work. Not sure if its because I'm running 10.15.2 or not, thoughts? First time I installed it, placed it in /EFI/CLOVER/kext/other, restarted all the HS01-> HS-14 ports...
