OK, got the original Acronis off Time Machine and installed that, and it's definitely not an Acronis problem, because the same failure occurred.
Can anyone more savvy than me help here? It seems like there may be some kind of corrupt partition on my system drive, but I can't understand what...
Hi trs96
Following up from my posts yesterday... unfortunately we are completely Mac here, so I don't have access to a Windows machine to try the process in post #1.
A summary of where I am so far:
1 - Bought Acronis 2019 in January
2 - Disk cloning on System drive of my hack worked...
No just installed to the system drive. That's how I've been running it all year since I bought it in January and it worked fine, and saved me once from an update crash when I was able to clone back from the backup.
Got to leave work now, but I'll try your link tomorrow and report back, thanks!
But I haven't changed anything on my system drive and Acronis clone was working perfectly all year... and then about 2 months ago just started giving this error. I only use it infrequently to back up my system to an external disk, so can't say exactly when it stopped working.
Tried it with multiple different disks - it's not a destination disk issue, I don't think. Acronis clone was working 100% up to a couple months ago, so it's a bit strange. Are others here having it work ok?

- formatting seems to go ok
- then it says 'Coping MBR'
- and then it switches to 'Synchronising operating system' and throws out an...
Hoping someone here can assist. I have EFIClone installed, but could never get it working. Tried Acronis 2019 and everything was perfect until a couple months back. Acronis clone operation started failing. I upgraded to Acronis 2020 and no improvement. Acronis have been unable to solve the...
My 13.6 Hack ran the latest security update on the weekend and failed. By default Clover (4630) wants to boot to the MacOS install on my system drive now, but it won't complete.
So I'm still on 17G65.
I can boot to the Mac partition on my system drive still, but now it's saying no GPU...
Hi Wombat
Thanks for this - a really great option for all of us! I seem to have an error though. CCC completes and runs the script, which creates EFI partition on my backup drive, but then CCC hangs and this is the content of EFIClone.log on the destination drive:
