I recently had to change out my mother board and processor on a x79 build I built.
I originally had a ASUS Sabertooth / i7 6 Core Sandy Bridge on this build. I changed the processor to a Xeon E 2697 V2 (12 Core) and a ASUS P9X79-E WS. My reasoning was for the price of the mother...
I don’t think so either, I figured I would see if anyone has done this. My best bet would be keep my older x79 hack pro for just ProTools and building a new cpu.
