Ok I will try to use KextsToPatch option within clover and restore the vanilla kext. So basically, correcting the framebuffer kext will solve my max brightness issue? Or I will need further tweaking.
p/s: The reason I use the patch is to prevent the screen to go black when wake from sleep. This...
Dear RehabMan, the script I used to patch the AppleIntelSKLGraphicsFramebuffer is as below. The reason is this was simple enough for me to follow, as I could not figure out how to patch the below in clover.
#!/bin/bash -x
binary=AppleIntelSKLGraphicsFramebuffer
cd...
Thanks for the tip. Sorry but i am not an expert in hackintosh, so can you help me simplify? How do I obtain EDID, vendor and device id values? Are they to be injected via clover?
For the second part of your tip, I manage to do the dmpstore from clover shell, record a video, but the list is so...
The vanilla AppleIntelSKLGraphicsFramebuffer kext in High Sierra causes my screen to go black and non responsive with white artefacts whenever resume from sleep. The only way to get back is a reboot. The patched one helps counter this and allows a normal sleep/wake on my system.
My sincerest apologies again for not reading through the problem reporting section carefully. As per guideline, I have used the auto script by black dragon to generate the whole list of required files. Please find them attached.
Sorry for the trouble. Attached is full clover folder minus the themes folder. There is no image of verbose boot as I have no boot issues. My issue is brightness goes max on every reboot. I am also attaching the nvram.plist that is generated by clover in the EFI folder.
Hi, I followed your guide, got the SSDT-ALS0 file added to Clover>ACPI>Patched.
I rebooted and the same thing, defaults to full brightness. I also deleted the clover nvram.plist to force it to generate a new one, did reboot couple of times but still the same problem. I'm out of ideas what to do...
I'm having problem with my lcd brightness value reset to full brightness on everyboot.
I am running hackintosh High Sierra on a Lenovo x260.
Clover is installed as UEFI only with rc scripts and using EMUVariable driver for nvram emulation. I can confirm nvram emulation is working from the...
Thanks for the tip. I am not so well verse with dsdt/ssdt patching. I have seen many guides on patching but it can never get to me as it looks complicated. For now, since you got it working, can you kindly share your clover boot efi folder with config files, kexts dsdt/ssdt so I can replicate...
Hey fellow hackintoshers, Anyone who have been successful in running hackintosh on x260 kindly advice the steps. Appreciate if can share which Mac os version you run, the kexts and dsdt files. Do let me know what works and what doesn't. Thank you.
