try using your onboard graphic instead of gtx 780 and tell us if performance increased... i know that intel HD 4600 is by far weaker than gtx 780, but i tried it in the beginning with hd4600 graphics and was able to play wow on low-mid settings fluently. maybe your gpu is not supported yet...

Hello! Check your options from the router. It could be that there is a mac-address filter.. if so, turn it off or fill in your mac address.

you don't have to install SL first ... you can install directly from USB stick with OS Mavericks from friend or whatsoever and at that point of installation, ethernet was working out of the box ;-)
