We are on the same boat. I have the same issue and I don't know how to fix it besides booting with live ubuntu usb. Check my files for comparison.

SOLVED by simply booting from USB drive to Live Ubuntu twice. Audio fully restored on both systems. I just need explanation why this trick worked.

Booting from USB drive to live Ubuntu first time did nothing but after second time audio is restored in High Sierra and Mojave :clap:. Thank you very much my master I bow down to you :). Nobody could figure it out but you.

Take a pix of crash and post it here so we may figure it out what is wrong.

One more thing I've noticed is that when I switch to Windows from MacOS I loose windows audio and need to reset audio controller in bios. Will CodecCommander.kext will fix that issue?

I have tried the latest appleALC.kext+lilu.kext with inject-id 23 via PciRoot and still can get audio back. Do you still have CodecCommander.kext installed in L/E? Would you mind to show your latest config.plist please?

I have reinstalled recently my Windows just to access EFI or MacOS files if something goes wrong. It won't hurt.

If you patched your DSDT files for the latest A18 BIOS then keep it otherwise you need to downgrade. I keep my BIOS A07 and never updated to latest.

I've used Mojave patcher installer to avoid conversion to apfs. Google "Mojave MBR HFS Firmware Check Patch"

The only extra I've had to patched framebuffer to get UHD 4K but I don't think that has to do with audio.

Other members with same model laptop as mine just installed lilu.kext+applealc.kext in L/E added layout-id 23 in config.plist and had fully functional audio. I am the one with bad luck.

So all kexts required for audio are loading but my both system still can't detected it. I have used new layout-id 23 added recently for my specific model. What else I can do?
