Thanks for the details. I have used the Astropad software before on an authentic Mac before I wonder if I can get this working? https://astropad.com/product/studio/
@CaseySJ Well my ancient Wacom Cintiq finally seems to have died today, so I thought I might give Apple "Sidecar" a try with my iPadPro. It seems to go through the initial process to connect (via USB cable), but then fails. I tried scrubbing through as much of this thread as I could to find any...
Is anyone else having problems with HackinDROM being offline? I can't seem to download the latest version. Also, my installed version (v1.5.0) requires me to right-click, then select "show package contents" before opening the HackinDROM terminal executable inside Contents>MacOS in order to run...
@byteminer thanks so much for the EFIClone - FYI I was trying to track back to your github from the info on the script, and I noticed you have your github username spelled incorrectly in the .sh file - kobaltkore vs kobaltcore.
@CaseySJ after many months of ignoring the step in your instructions for making a backup, I finally did so. I'm using an external USB 3.1 Gen 2 enclosure for an M2 SSD. This mydigitalssd M2X, to be precise. I have not yet attempted to boot directly from the M2 itself (i.e., removing from the...
Could someone point me to a guide for all these Adobe patches, etc. I keep reading things like "the patch" without a link to what we're talking about here. I have tried everything from the earlier automator method, to the Adobe 2021 AMD Patch.command to the process on this thread, but none of...
OC 0.7.1
I popped the M2 out, put it into my M2>USB adaptor and used Hackindrom on my Macbook Air running Big Sur to reinstall OC 0.7.1 on the M2's EFI partition, but now it's got more problems with BIOS and secure boot I'll need to iron out.
EDIT 1: I went thru my BIOS settings to make sure...
Damn. I checked and SIP was actually disabled. So I used openCore hackindrom app to change the code for that based on @CaseySJ original post to disable SIP. But now my system is throwing an error on the bios screen, and the Big Sur install won't boot past the Apple logo. Short of removing the...
I started this time by uninstalling Photoshop then reinstalling, then running the AdobeAMDFix, and the same error as before upon opening Photoshop. Is that normal? Do I need to restart after uninstalling Photoshop?
Thanks to your suggestion, I just did that fix - but it gave me the attached error upon opening Ps (but after restarting). Photoshop continued to open after I re-logged into Creative Cloud account. But Ae would not open at all anymore.
I'm a little confused about how the other fixes are supposed...
I have tried everything in that thread but still cannot get those particular features of Photoshop or AE working, even though they work in all other respects. It seems like the more I mess with it, the more Photoshop crashes. For example it used to be fine upon opening files, etc. but after...
Sweet! That might help the random kernel panic reboots I've been having. Almost always when I'm not at the computer - I just hear the loud reboot from downstairs!
