i think we have same problem.. mine too had already win7 at first place i can manage to install Lion but first you need to have working snow leopard first. I install snow leopard inside vmware just to download Lion... then extract the Lion dmg inside Lion app to usb and modify the OSInstall...

yes intel hd 3000 QE/CI work OOB on Lion.. can all iLife stuff can see the ripple effect at dashboard have CI setting on dashboard (a widget i think for setting enhance outlook for browser)

still haven't found how to change backlit. i manually change it via display preferences (the one for setting resolution) but every time restart or shutdown the backlit return to 100%
