Samsung 840 EVO in a DualBoot Config - RAPID Mode working?

Sorry for the tardiness, but I have the same question. It looks like Rapid is a Windows driver. The drive will work in OSX, but you'll be losing most of it's performance edge. (I'd love to be proven wrong, here.)

Random freezes. Hackintosh 2 secs away from sledge hammer. [GA-Z87M-D3H + 4770k + GeForce 8800Ultra]

Hars, can you report back if it wasn't your wifi card? I'm curious if that was the cure. There are tons of Mavericks Crashing threads out there (most for actual Apple hardware), and a million stab-in-the-dark solutions.

Dragonfly USB DAC locks up Mavericks

    Nope. It wasn't Spotify.

Dragonfly USB DAC locks up Mavericks

I think it may be the new Spotify update. At least, I'm getting log entries before a crash, and it happens w/o the Dragonfly plugged in.

Dragonfly USB DAC locks up Mavericks

Hi all, I just got an AudioQuest Dragonfly DAC. Before plugging it in, everything is fine. A few seconds after plugging it in, the OS becomes completely unresponsive. I've heard that adding S/L/Ext/AppleUSBAudio.kext will fix this, but I see there's one already in place. Does anyone have...

OS X Will Be Around Until At Least 2023

Combining desktop and mobile is inevitable. Microsoft was the first (?) to implement it, but in usual Redmond fashion, their implementation sucks. I'm really curious to see if Ubuntu Phone can pull it off, and I'd bet anything that Apple R&D already has prototypes. I'd love to see this...

    Bluetooth and 10.8.4

Glad it worked out. You know, I'm still getting that error message from sandboxd. It's not coming from Kernel anymore, though, and everything has been running smoothly. I think I'll stop fiddling while I'm ahead.

    Bluetooth and 10.8.4

I'm having issues, too. In 8.3, bluetooth was running great. In 8.4, all kinds of dropped connections. Are you getting messages like this in Console?: blued(1421) deny file-write-data /Extra/nvram.5002e503-4904-be05-eb06-180700080009.plist ... which is the bluetooth daemon complaining...

    Having 10.8.2 Virtualbox Issues?

For anyone interested, I updated to 10.8.2 and everything works fine. Again, I'm using a SandyBridge cpu. IvyBridge users may want to check on the current status of things.

    Having 10.8.2 Virtualbox Issues?

Any Sandy Bridge/Oracle Virtualbox users having trouble with 10.8.2? I haven't updated yet because of VT-x issues, but it looks like the damage is limited to Ivy Bridge. No light at the end of the tunnel for Ivy Bridge, yet. Virtualbox Forum post

Article: The iPhone 5 has arrived, leaks proven to be mostly true I'm pretty sure I read Bluetooth 4.0.

Anyone know of a NAS box that can...

That's what I thought. Thanks anyway. I'm thinking of this as I look through plugins for running Wordpress and a Mono environment.

Anyone know of a NAS box that can...

Thanks, lostswede. What I was thinking of (hoping for) was to have everything in the same box. A three or four bay NAS, with two disks in RAID0, and a third, unrelated disk as the backup. Not two separate enclosures. The Synology demo had some interesting features (Asterisk support!?), but...

Anyone know of a NAS box that can...

Anyone heard of a NAS that would run two 1TB disks in RAID0, with a third 2TB disk to do periodic backups of the RAID0 via rsync (or similar)? Is there a term for this configuration already? I could build it myself, but I'd like to keep power and size to a minimum.
