    [SUCCESS!] Guff's Skylake G5 Build - Gigabyte UD5 - i7 6700k - GTX 980Ti - 10.12 Sierra -

Hmm, I don't exactly have a detailed post about how to do the case mod. I intended this mostly as a build guide for people to use similar components if building a Z170 setup. I'll flesh out the component choices and the install process in this thread when I get a chance.

Here are the pics from the case mod btw: Removing everything was fairly straightforward with the right tools. iFixIt toolkit ftw! The internal standoffs are just pressed or perhaps glued in and come out with pliers. After much mocking up of the tray and IO plate I determined that this...

First build... with Powermac G5 case

I'm sure it depends on which generation of Intel HD graphics you have, but Intel's website claims to have 4k support.

First build... with Powermac G5 case

I just did my G5 case mod, so I think I can help. Easiest thing to do is to buy an ATX motherboard tray from somebody like CaseLabs or Lian Li. I used a CaseLabs Merlin tray as it was smaller than the Lian Li model I was looking at (albiet more expensive). Then I removed all of the internals of...
