I believe you may be right. After trying to load it again with debug on I can see it's looking up in clover directory for kexts. It is having a problem with FakeSMCkeystore. That's where it hangs, here's the complete error.

Update. I loaded my old yosemite bootable drive. It loads the install menu but not much else. I went through the process of reinstalling it, all went well, when it rebooted the new clover took over, and I had the exact same problem. Found my old clover bootable usb drive, used that to load...

I just upgraded to Mavericks yesterday, and everything but the audio works. How did you get the audio to work? I've tried every single option in multibeast.

Well I found a backup from November on an external time machine. I restored it but now it won't even hang it just automatically reboot. I guess I will end up having to restore from snow leopard after the holidays and lose all my data. Thanks for the suggestions and happy holidays.
