I'm using the extra m.2 slot on my motherboard to install a Samsung 970 Evo 2tb drive.
for some reason in Disk Utility when I click the erase button I do not see a choice for APFS.
Can anyone advise me on this?
Thanks
third question: I see there are Bios upgrades on this site for Intel 9th generation processors
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z370M-D3H-rev-10#support-dl-bios
Will upgrading the Bios affect my Hackintosh installation or the stability of my version of Mac OS?
Hi I'm running a stable build on High Sierra (10.13.2) I wanted to see how difficult it would be to upgrade my processor from an 8700K to a 9900K. Would the motherboard recognize it right away? Is the 9900K compatible with the Z370M-DS3H motherboard?
Also will this cooler suffice that I'm using...
Here are my OC settings,
I changed CPU upgrade to i7-8700K CPU 4.9 ghz
Enhanced Multi-Core Performance is set to Disabled
changed cpu clock ratio to 49
Now Geekbench is showing 6299 single core 29860 Multicore.
Does that make sense for this config with these overclock settings? Is there...

I'm concerned that my speeds are not fast enough for the equipment that I purchased, most peoples...
fixed the fan noise, now im trying out overclocking. I OC'd from the base 3.7 ghz frequency to 4.5.
Unfortunately. I just ran a geekbench test and my score was lower than the stock 3.7 ghz i8700K
What overclocking settings am I able to get away with? I'm not sure how to monitor temperature in...
i figured out the lag issue, it was when I was using my audio software with the "built in audio" drivers. using an external soundcard made the performance noticeably snappier.
now I need to get to SMBIOS and overclock and fix the fan noise. when the computer is idle and the screen saver is...
