For first-gen HD Graphics, as I understand either MacBookPro6,1 or MacBookPro6,2 should be used. Currently using MacBookPro6,2 and changing to MacBookPro6,1 results in no brightness slider still.
Hi,
I've followed through the guide but still don't have a brightness slider on first gen Arrandale HD Graphics on 10.13.1.
Injector and SSDT are installed, and PNLF/AppleBacklight shows up in the ioreg.
I don't even have a patched DSDT, as there is no need for one currently. But if that's what you say is needed, I'll open a new thread as I have no idea what to edit in the DSDT.
What part of ACPI? USB keyboards and mice work fine to wake the system. The system is one of those HP Compaq Pro 6300s but the same thing happens on an Elite 8300.

Well I decided to go for it and bought a DisplayPort to DVI-I adapter on eBay. I should get it by Monday so hopefully that should do the job. I'll update here when I get it.
For a while I was using both the HD 2500 and the dedicated GT 730 in my 6300 SFF without any issues under Windows 10...
