What is your oldest Hackintosh still in use?

I first came across the idea of a Hackintosh somewhere on the internet and quickly latched onto tonymacx86.com. My wife still owns a late model iMac iSight G5 computer, the only 64 bit PowerPC Apple made. It still is a brilliant machine but showing its age (it currently runs Linux but could...

Hi Guys Thanks once again for a superb guide. I managed to find two USDT Elite 8300s for less than £250 including 4Gb and 8Gb memory, DVD writer and 500Gb HDDs in superb condition. One had W7 Pro and the other W8.1 Pro which I quickly upgraded free to W10 Pro (just in time before MS stopped...

Bluetooth Problems workaround - El Capitan

Hi Guys Having problems with Bluetooth. Installed OS X 10.11.1 using Unibeast 6.1.1 and Multibeast 8.0.1. All was well, and working. My Apple trackpad worked fine with a USB dongle, but with the latest update to El Capitan, OS X 10.11.2, it does not. The cursor tracks OK and the left click works...

Multibeast 8 not activating TRIM support

Hi guys This is why this site is so good! 2 people replied, so many thanks to vntester and codf4ther. I typed the 'sudo trimforce enable' command into a terminal and, after a reboot, TRIM is now enabled. I did not upgrade to Yosemite (too flaky) so I was not aware of this command. So a feature...

Multibeast 8 not activating TRIM support

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature. I have installed El Capitan on a well established system. Was running Mavericks; reformatted SSD and clean installed El Capitan using latest Unibeast 6.1 and Multibeast 8.0 Everything seems to be working well so far Except: System Report - Hardware -...

    PCH Die at 127 Celsius ??? 10.9 Gigabyte B75M-D3H

I guess it is a bug in HWMonitor. Intel spec. sheets for 7, 8 and 9 series chipsets specify Tjunction operating limits as 0-108 deg C and Tcatastrophic temp as 110-128 deg C. So I guess if the HWMonitor reading were correct, my processor would have fried by now
