Worked for me
I have installed El Capitan using Clover followed by a MultiBeast injection of stuff. Thank you for the USB fix that worked well. I cannot get past one conflict though. I am using a DELL P2815Q Display which is 4k driven by a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 2047 MB graphics. That means to get 4K I...
I did a clean install of Yosemite using Unibeast 5.0 and Multicast 7.0. A little early to tell if everything works, but for now deep sleep crashes the system, and it does not recover easily from that. I also do not have Messages (neither FileNVRAM-1.1.2 or FileNVRAM-1.1.3 work and crash the...
Update 7/31/14
No empirical data, but boot times are just about the same for the M.2 as the Samsung SSD.
The M.2 does not like deep sleep. It will not respond when waking the system. For it to work - have to hard shut-down the system - unplug the cord - hold the power button in until it...
I bought a Crucial M.2 drive
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ITFZV0C/
as the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H support page said it was approved. I had successfully put 10.9.4 on a Samsung SSD and went to repeat the installation on the Crucial M.2. The Samsung did fine, but the Crucial M.2 was a no-go after...
Just used software update on a 2012 Customac Mini. It all seems fine. I was hoping the USB 3.0 ports would "light-up" with native Apple support, but it did not happen this time around. Don't let my success fool you. Use the Combo updater (link is above) I broke my own rule and got lucky!
Article: Chimera 2.0 Now Available with iMessage Login Fix
Re-installing Chimera 2.0.1 fixed this for me. Just a note - Numerous macs & hacks, 3 iPhones, an iPad, and an iPod touch in the family. It seems that "all the planets need to be aligned" for Messages to work 100%. Numerous...
Could not be any simpler - I ran the Chimera v2.0.0 installer on 2013 CustoMacMini (i3- 3225 & GA-H77N-WIFI) and now have Messages. Thought I might lose sound - did not - and all is OK . Thank you.
For years I have wanted album art in the mini-window. Now I have it. Yea! It is all there, but now there is much less clutter in the main window, which is good. Elegant - Nice job Apple.
Gee, I thought all of the GA-Z68XP-UD3P boards had the mSATA. See:
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3892#ov
I put on OCZ OCZ Nocti Series NOC-MSATA-60G mSATA in mine and have 10.8.2 on it (not EUFI bios update yet.)
I know y'all like to tinker, so I thought I would ask if anybody has tested (played with) using the new 10.8.2 Update -- see:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/287-apple-issues-special-os-x-10-8-2-update-new-macs.html
to see if the mSATA on this board could be used for the new Apple "Fusion Drive"...
I waited for this update for Trim Support for 10.8.2 for a Crucial M3 and an OCZ Nocti M-SATA with a GA-Z68XP-UD3P. Still a no go-after running Multibeast 5.1 (the 10.8.1+ Box.) Was there something to delete before I ran the Installer, or am I missing something else that is preventing this...
Used Combo updater on a GA-H61N-USB3 F8, i3-2125 Intel 3000 Graphics with no issues (including Realtek ALC889 with Multibeast 5.0.2 Linux drivers.) I cannot comment on Sound because I use USB Soundsticks that work natively. No CD connected, no video card installed. I just ran the update...
