    Asus z9pe- dual xeon E5 2620 V2 - GTX760 4GB

@Christomberlin I have 2 cpus (V2) and I think every Z9PE based build on this forum is a dual cpu build. I did not need any tricks to make it work, but my cpus are 6-core each. May be something specific to V2 10-cores? @PJALM Man, is it that difficult to check MB spec before posting?

    Asus z9pe- dual xeon E5 2620 V2 - GTX760 4GB

There may be something wrong with your USB disk. And I would not play with kext for now - let it boot first. For the record - I did not have a single kext not installed by Multibeast. I would not change the kernel if I didnot have Xeon V2. Try to do your boot disk again - without bloody custom...

    Asus z9pe- dual xeon E5 2620 V2 - GTX760 4GB

@nachopr Yes, in fact I am writing this reply from my new dual xeon E5 2620 V2 / GTX760/ dual screen hackintosh ... I disabled onboard VGA in bios. All as I described. The main issue you have is that your PCI configuration is not working with OSX, do not seem to be related to the graphics...

    Asus z9pe- dual xeon E5 2620 V2 - GTX760 4GB

I see your screenshot. As far as I know the difference bw 5/7 lines and 1/3 lines is that 1/3 does speed negotiation with the device. Unfortunately don't have any recommendation as to what do next. The easiest of course if you get a second CPU and install the GC into 5/7 slots but that involves...

    Asus z9pe- dual xeon E5 2620 V2 - GTX760 4GB

If you have only 1 cpu than PCI slots 5, 7 will not work. Try to install your GTX 760 into slot 1 or 3 and load with -v npci=0x2000 PCIRooutUID=1 = you should see text output and if you stuck somewhere post the screen/message here

    Asus z9pe- dual xeon E5 2620 V2 - GTX760 4GB

I disabled Intel speedstep in BIOS. You could also disable 'auto' and have a hard multiplier on the turning page in BIOS, I did not - don't think it matters. My CPU is 2.1GHz Xeon - it shows up as 1.73 GHz in OS X but judging by the geekbench score it works at 2.1GHz. It is obviously a bit...

    Asus z9pe- dual xeon E5 2620 V2 - GTX760 4GB

@amorph Try to put your Radon into the slot #7 or slot #5 of the board I played with an old ATI card before loaded with my NVidia and it worked in the second CPU PCIs (5/7). When boot, make sure Intel VT-D is disabled in BIOS. Try to boot in the safe mode (-x) first. I can not recall now but I...

    Asus z9pe- dual xeon E5 2620 V2 - GTX760 4GB

@robert123: My Geekbench score is 26300. I am slightly surprised as I expected it to be lower given that the other guys have 29000 with E5-2687 CPU. (My CPU is running on 2.1GHz) I more wanted to have 2 CPUs that Geekbench numbers to be honest, so took the cheapest CPU that can give me what I...

    Asus z9pe- dual xeon E5 2620 V2 - GTX760 4GB

That's easy - you just replace the file with cp. After u prepared the stick, just open the term and type: cp mach_kernel /Volumes/MY_USB_STICK/

TRIM support / Multibeast trim enabler

Thanks for your reply - did not even think to bash :) Just curious - what is SSD based raid for? A single SSD is pretty fast for my use (even run a couple of Vmware from it)

    Asus z9pe- dual xeon E5 2620 V2 - GTX760 4GB

A bit of an update. I've got it working again with BIOS 5103. I installed _plain_ Maverics then run Multibeast on it, got usual suspects (3PartySata, Intel lan etc) and that's it. Nothing else, it works with kernel params 'npci=0x2000 PCIRooutUID=1', sound works, Ethernet works. Did not even...

    SalPro Dual Xeon WorkStation: ASUS Z9PE W8 DS - 2x XEON E5 2660 - GTX 590 3GB - 64GB

Actually I think we need to start a new thread = somethink like dual cpu configs for HPC - don't know where with those new rules... Any ideas?

    SalPro Dual Xeon WorkStation: ASUS Z9PE W8 DS - 2x XEON E5 2660 - GTX 590 3GB - 64GB

Sal, Thank you for your thread - kinda inspired me to build. Actually I did take the other way. I installed _plain_ Maverics then run Multibeast on it, got usual suspects (3PartySata etc) and that's it. Nothing else, it works with kernel params 'npci=0x2000 PCIRooutUID=1', sound works, Ethernet...

TRIM support / Multibeast trim enabler

Hi! I tried to install TRIM support with the latest multibeast on Maverics 10.9 (ticked the box) - no error messages. However if I start SystemInfo I see my Samsung 840 EVO-Series 1TB SSD properties having TRIM = NO. Questions: 1) is it a bug in Multibeast? 2) Do I need TRIM support on...
