I'm trying to install. When I click restart on the installation program, an extra HD in clover with Macos install doesn't show up.
What to do about that?
Those aren't working. But I'm not to worried about that, all my USB2's are working and I'm not using any external hdd. Only mouse and keyboard are attached to it.
Removed Ev0reboot.kext
I'm using DSDT.aml and SSDT.aml, and from what I understood Ev0reboot wasn't needed with that.
After that I could change the SIP and was able to run the Clover ALC update.
Now everything seems to be working.
I've just finished installing El Capitan on my computer, all seems to work fine except the audio.
Specs:
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD5-B3
CPU: Intel i7 2600K
Graphics: Sapphire Radeon HD6870
What I've tried;
audio_cloverALC-110_v1.0g
And when not successfull
audio_realtekALC-110_v1.0h...
I currently have 10.9.4 running very(!) stable.
Thinking of doing a clean install of El Capitan. Is it in anyway supported by my setup(s)?
Setup 1

Graphics: Sapphire Radeon HD6870
Setup 2
MOBO: Asus P8Z68 Deluxe

Done the steps as mentioned, still not working the way it should, strange enough.
Also checked my BIOS, it's still set to AHCI, so that's not the issue.
Would it help to maybe upgrade to bios version F10? Or doesn't that change anything?
Just did that, tried a custom one and a DSDT from my motherboard. Unfortunatelly still the same problem.
I guess I'm getting close to needing to format the disk and reinstall. In that case I might as well just keep using booting through my USB installer and wait until Mavericks is released.
I honestly don't know anymore, it's been atleast a 10 months since I installed ML.
Like I mentioned, everything worked 2 days ago, and all of sudden I just got this message.
I didn't install any software or updates the last time I was logged in.
Anyway, tis is my Boot.plist
<plist...
Started up my computer this yesterday morning, I've been working with Mountain Lion without any problems for the past year, and all of a sudden it get's stuck at:
boot0: GPT
boot0: test
boot0: test
boot0: done_
As mentioned, it worked the day before yesterday. I didn't install any...
I figured it out. Strangely enough(!) it suddenly is a problem booting my computer with a USB external disk attached.
When I plug out the USB it starts up correctly, and once in SL I can plug in the cable and the disk works.
It's strange since I have fidlled around with that inside my bios...
I just used Carbon Copy Cloner to copy my current HD over to my SSD.
Immediatelly after that I started up in the SSD (through Chimera on the HD) and installed Chimera again on the SSD.
I've also tried it through iBoot, but it just doesn't want to startup Chimera!
Also used Kext Utility to...
@samisnake
Thanks for your input. I just checked and I'm still at BIOS version 0501. I did not use a DSDT to install SL.
So I guess, this (hopefully) shouldn't run into any problems...guess I just have to try and see.
I currently have 10.6.8 working pretty much OK on my machine. However, I'd like to try ML. If I do this update to my P8Z68 deluxe, will it influence my 10.6.8 installation and cause it to possibly not work?
I'm getting frustrated to say the least, it just doesn't want to work on those screens, they're not even that old (probally a year or so). Is there anybody who has a clue?
